Forest Hill was a mold-filled, vagrant-attracting, beyond repair facility that had become a blight on the community.
East Moline Christian School has been given the incredible opportunity to remove Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center and develop a beautiful sports complex in its place.
By renovating the property, EMCS will have:
Removed a major blight from the community
Provided protection for the students at EMCS but also for the neighboring Black Hawk Special Education Center
Created the space necessary to expand our Sports Facilities to meet needs in our Conference, train our elementary teams, and make new sports available for our student body.
Provided more room for recess play during the months when the ground is too wet.
Future Plans
Over the next few years, our intent is to develop the EMCS Victory Sports Complex with many competition platforms including:
4 Soccer Fields
4 Pickleball Courts
1 Basketball Court
1 Volleyball Court
1 Playground
1 Track
Phases
Phase 1:
Demolition of the existing building
Laying out playing fields
Pouring the running track
Phase 2:
Pickball and tennis courts
Phase 3:
Concession Building:
Including concession stand, locker rooms, restrooms, and storage bays for food, sports equipment, and lawn care
